Gloucestershire Constabulary is appealing for information following a sexual assault on a 17-year-old girl in Gloucester last month. The incident occurred between 7pm and 8pm on Wednesday, January 7, on Westgate Street.
According to police reports, the young woman was approached by a male she recognised. After exchanging pleasantries, the man pulled her into a shop doorway, where he held her in a hug and attempted to kiss her without consent. The assault escalated as the man touched the girl’s body beneath her clothing and placed his hand under her underwear.
The victim resisted and told the man to stop. A group of males nearby also intervened, prompting the perpetrator to release her. The girl was then able to leave the scene with her friends.

The suspect is described as approximately 17 or 18 years old. Authorities have released a CCTV image of the individual and are urging anyone with information or who recognises him to come forward.
