Gloucestershire Constabulary is appealing for information following a sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl in Gloucester last month. The victim was approached by a young man she recognized on Westgate Street between 7pm and 8pm on Wednesday, January 7.
According to police, the male engaged the girl in conversation before pulling her into a shop doorway. There, he held her in a hug and attempted to kiss her against her will. The man then inappropriately touched the girl beneath her clothing.
The victim resisted and told the man to stop. Nearby bystanders also intervened, allowing the girl to leave the scene safely with her friends.

Authorities describe the suspect as a male approximately 17 or 18 years old. After conducting several enquiries, police have released a CCTV image of the individual and are urging anyone who recognizes him or has information related to the assault to come forward.
