Liberty Mitchell, 21, has admitted responsibility for a tragic crash in the Cotswolds that resulted in two deaths and multiple serious injuries. At Gloucester Crown Court on December 18, Mitchell pleaded guilty to two counts of causing death by dangerous driving, three counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and two counts of causing death while driving uninsured.
The incident occurred on December 2, 2022, on the B4425 at Riversmeet North near Chipping Norton. Taxi driver Octavian Codreanu and his passenger, school teacher Moyra Whelan, lost their lives in the collision. Additionally, three other individuals suffered serious injuries.
Mitchell was arrested at the crash site and has since been issued an interim driving disqualification. She has been bailed pending sentencing, which is scheduled for February 13 at Gloucester Crown Court.
