A young motorcyclist remains in hospital with serious injuries following a collision in Gloucester on Monday, 28 September. The crash involved two vehicles and took place at approximately 5.45pm near the St Barnabas roundabout on Finlay Road.
The collision involved a white and red Zontes ZT703-RR motorbike and a black BMW X5. The rider, a man in his 20s from Gloucester, was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for treatment. His next of kin have been informed.
The driver of the car, a man in his 70s from Gloucester, was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and for causing serious injury by careless driving. He is currently in police custody.

Police have since lifted the road closures that were put in place following the incident. Authorities are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or who has dashcam footage that could assist the investigation to come forward.
