A young motorcyclist has been critically injured in a crash on the A429 Fosseway in Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire. The incident occurred at approximately 4:15 pm on Saturday, April 26, near Old Quarry Farm.
The collision involved a silver Triumph Trident motorcycle and a blue Volkswagen Polo. The rider, a man in his 20s, was airlifted by helicopter to University Hospital Coventry with serious injuries. Gloucestershire Police confirmed he remains hospitalized.
Following the crash, several road closures were implemented along the A429, affecting traffic between Donnington Lane and the A424 Evesham Road junctions. These closures stayed in place until early Sunday morning as emergency responders and investigators processed the scene.

Police are actively seeking witnesses to the incident and urge anyone who saw the collision or has relevant dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward. Information can be submitted to Gloucestershire Constabulary via their online contact form, referencing incident number 314 of April 25.
Traffic-monitoring services reported that the A429 was closed in both directions for several hours after the collision but reopened shortly after 8:00 am on Sunday following the completion of accident investigation work.
