Woman Sexually Assaulted at Gloucester Pub; Police Seek Suspect

A woman was sexually assaulted while ordering a drink at a pub in Gloucester, prompting an active police investigation. The incident occurred on Saturday, September 27, around 8pm, at a bar on Southgate Street.

According to Gloucestershire Police, a man approached the woman as she stood at the bar and intentionally bumped into her. After apologizing, he turned away and then proceeded to make inappropriate contact by rubbing himself against her. Bar staff intervened, telling the man to stop, and subsequently asked his group to leave the premises.

Following the incident, police have conducted several inquiries and released CCTV images of a man they wish to identify and interview in connection with the assault. They are appealing to the public to come forward if they recognize the individual.

A police spokesperson stated: “Officers are investigating after a report that a man made unwanted contact with a woman at a bar on Southgate Street. We are keen to identify and speak with the man seen in the CCTV images to progress our investigation.”
