A woman in her seventies sustained serious injuries after being struck by a car in Cheltenham town centre yesterday afternoon.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:10 pm on Friday, December 5, on Cheltenham High Street, prompting immediate response from emergency services. The injured pedestrian was transported to Southmead Hospital in North Bristol for urgent medical treatment.
In response to the collision, Gloucestershire Constabulary temporarily closed sections of High Street and Rodney Road, including the junction at Imperial Square and Albion Street. Authorities advised both motorists and pedestrians to avoid the area as the scene was managed.
