A woman remains in serious condition after a vehicle left the road and rolled in the Forest of Dean early on Monday, March 4. Emergency services responded to the incident near Brierley at approximately 1:15 a.m.
According to Gloucestershire Police, the vehicle veered off the A4136 and overturned. Both a woman and a man inside the car were airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol. While the man’s condition has not been detailed, the woman continues to be treated for serious injuries.
The crash led to a lengthy closure of the road between High Beech Road and New Road for a collision investigation, lasting nearly 11 hours before reopening at around 6:50 p.m.

Authorities are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or noticed any suspicious driving in the area around the time of the crash to come forward.
