Woman Seriously Injured After Being Struck by Car on A46

A woman in her 50s from the Stroud area sustained serious leg injuries after being struck by a silver Volkswagen Polo on Tuesday, November 18. The collision occurred on the A46 in Nailsworth, prompting an urgent response from emergency services.

The injured pedestrian was quickly transported by ambulance to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for further medical assessment. Authorities have confirmed that the woman’s injuries are injuries to her legs.

Officers from Glastonbury Constabulary are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the pedestrian before the collision to come forward. The police are also requesting any relevant dashcam footage that might shed light on the circumstances of the accident.

A spokesperson from the force said: “Investigating officers would like to hear from anyone who has not yet spoken to police and may have witnessed the incident or the female pedestrian prior to the collision. Anyone with dashcam footage is also urged to get in touch.”

Witnesses and those with footage are encouraged to provide information online, referencing incident number 320 from November 18.
