A woman in her 20s from Lydney remains in serious condition in hospital after being struck by a Mercedes on a driveway in the Forest of Dean. The collision occurred at around 5:30 pm on Sunday, July 5, on Coalway Road.

Gloucestershire Police responded to reports that a silver Mercedes CLS 320, driven by a local woman, had collided with the pedestrian at a residential property. The victim sustained serious injuries to her head and body and was transported to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for emergency treatment.

The driver of the Mercedes, also a woman from the Forest of Dean, was promptly arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving with a revoked license, driving under the influence of cocaine, and driving while unfit through drugs.
