A 61-year-old woman from Gloucestershire is at risk of eviction following the sudden death of her sister, with whom she shared a housing association bungalow. Gill Ward, residing in Broadwell near Coleford, has been served with an eviction notice as she has not lived in the property for a year. Ward moved in to live with her sister last August.
Two Rivers Housing has instructed her to vacate the premises, suggesting she move in with family or friends. Ward, still grieving her sister’s untimely passing, expressed her distress at the prospect of being made homeless, stating, “It’s still quite raw for us. Me and my sister were close.”
Following this publicized issue, Two Rivers Housing Association has issued an apology, acknowledging the oversight and expressing their commitment to helping Ward find a new place to live.
