A tragic multi-vehicle collision on the A449 has claimed the life of a woman in her 50s. The accident, which occurred around 9:30 p.m. on June 26 near Chances Pitch and Colwall at the Herefordshire and Worcestershire border, involved two cars and a motorcycle.
The deceased woman was riding a black Kawasaki motorbike, traveling towards Ledbury when the collision took place. The other vehicles involved were a silver VW Golf and a black Skoda, both heading in the direction of Malvern. Fortunately, neither of the car drivers sustained any injuries.
West Mercia Police have arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He remains in custody as the investigation continues.

A police spokesperson urged witnesses to come forward, stating, “We are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the cause of this fatal collision. We appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the vehicles involved prior to the crash, especially those with dash cam footage, to contact us.”
