Woman Dies Following Stroud Crash, Another Hospitalized

A tragic road accident near Stroud claimed the life of a 90-year-old woman after a two-vehicle collision on Friday, May 1. Emergency services responded around 4:40 pm to reports of a crash on the A419 Ebley Bypass involving a black Audi A6 and a blue Honda Jazz.

The driver of the Honda, a Stroud resident, was airlifted to Southmead Hospital with serious injuries but sadly passed away on Sunday, May 3. Gloucestershire Police have informed her family and are providing support through a specially trained officer.

Meanwhile, the Audi driver, a woman in her 60s from Monmouthshire, sustained minor injuries. She was treated at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and has since been discharged.

The incident led to a temporary closure of the A419 while police conducted an investigation. The road has now reopened.
