A woman in her 60s tragically died following a single-vehicle collision in Gloucester yesterday morning, believed to have been caused by a medical episode while driving.
Emergency services responded to reports of a crash at approximately 8.50am on Thursday, 17 September, at Eastern Avenue near the junction with Metz Way. A grey Skoda Karoq had collided with the traffic lights at the scene.
Police officers were first on site and administered CPR to the driver until paramedics arrived. The woman was subsequently taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital; however, she later passed away.

Gloucestershire Police have confirmed that the woman’s next of kin have been informed.
Officers are seeking witnesses to the incident or anyone who may have dash cam footage to come forward to assist with their enquiries.
A police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has relevant dash cam footage to contact us. Information can be submitted online, quoting reference 53260080445.”
