Woman dies after car crashes into traffic lights in Gloucester

A woman in her 60s tragically died following a single-vehicle collision in Gloucester on the morning of Thursday, 17 September. The incident occurred around 8:50am on Eastern Avenue, near the junction with Metz Way, when the driver of a grey Skoda Karoq collided with the traffic lights.

Authorities believe the driver experienced a medical episode while behind the wheel. Upon arrival, police officers administered CPR at the scene before paramedics took over. The woman was subsequently transported to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital but sadly passed away.

Her family have been informed of the incident. Gloucestershire Police are now appealing for witnesses to the crash or anyone who may have dash cam footage to come forward and assist with their enquiries.
