A woman known for repeated shoplifting and aggressive behaviour has been prohibited from entering a number of businesses across Gloucestershire.
Marika Badzova has been served with a civil injunction due to ongoing concerns over her conduct towards shop staff and members of the public.
Gloucester City Council reported numerous incidents where Badzova’s actions left staff feeling threatened; some were even apprehensive about reporting the abuse, fearing possible retaliation.

The injunction follows a lengthy record involving shop thefts, intimidation, threats of violence, racial abuse, and assaults attributed to Badzova.
As part of the City Safe scheme, Badzova is now barred from all participating businesses throughout Gloucestershire. Authorities urge anyone witnessing a breach of this injunction to notify the police immediately.
Morag Gordon, Engagement Officer at Gloucester City Council, stated: “Our priority is to offer support and treatment to individuals facing complex challenges. However, when repeated anti-social behaviour occurs despite these efforts, we take firm enforcement actions to protect the community.
“This injunction clearly signals that abusive and intimidating behaviour is unacceptable, ensuring everyone in our city can feel safe without fear of hostility from Ms Badzova.”
Inspector James O’Neill of the Gloucester Neighbourhood Policing Team added: “Anti-social behaviour and shoplifting are serious offences that affect victims deeply. This action demonstrates our commitment to protecting residents and local communities from such disruptive conduct.”
