Woman at Gloucester ATM suspected of taking £250 not her own

An incident at an ATM outside Asda in Bruton Way, Gloucester, has led to a police inquiry after £250 was taken by a person believed to be the woman pictured by officers.

On Thursday, 2 July, at approximately 4.30pm, a member of the public used the cashpoint but a fault prevented the money from being dispensed immediately. The customer left the machine, but the cash was then released to the next individual who approached the ATM.

It is believed this second person took the £250 without attempting to return it or hand it over to Asda staff or the police, despite being confronted by the rightful owner straight after the incident.
