A woman sustained facial injuries after being forcibly taken into a car and attacked in Gloucester last week. Witnesses reported seeing a man aggressively shouting at the woman on Russell Street around 10:30 pm on Thursday, 6 November, demanding that she get into his vehicle. The man then forced her inside and drove away.
Gloucestershire Police identified the woman and carried out a welfare check at her residence, where they confirmed she had been punched several times in the face.
A 63-year-old Gloucester man has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He has since been released on bail with strict conditions, including no contact with the victim.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward. Witnesses can provide information online by referencing incident number 542 of 6 November.
