Woman Arrested for Attempted Murder Following Stabbing Incident in Hereford

A 50-year-old woman has been taken into custody on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing incident in Hereford. The emergency services responded to a call on Thursday, April 10, at Hunderton Avenue where they discovered a 48-year-old man with stab wounds.

The injured man was swiftly transported to the hospital. Although the injuries are believed to be serious, they are not thought to be life-threatening or life-altering. The arrest of the suspect took place close to The Lines, a disused railway line in the area.

The woman remains in police custody as the investigation progresses.

Detective Inspector Ben Pearson, leading the Hereford CID, stated, “We understand this incident is likely to cause concern locally, but we would like to provide reassurance that we are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident at this time."

To address community concerns, the Safer Neighbourhood Teams are conducting additional patrols in the vicinity. Residents can anticipate a heightened police presence on Hunderton Road, The Lines, and the surrounding areas during the ongoing inquiries.
