A second individual has been arrested after two Cane Corso dogs attacked a delivery driver in the Forest of Dean last month.
The incident occurred shortly before 3pm on Saturday 29 August at a property in Malswick, near Newent. The delivery driver, a woman in her 30s, was handing over a parcel when she was attacked by the two dogs.
She sustained significant injuries to her arm and suffered multiple bite wounds elsewhere on her body. The dog’s owner was reportedly not at home at the time.

Previously, a man was arrested on suspicion of having dogs dangerously out of control. He has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Following further investigation by Gloucestershire Police’s Criminal Investigation Department, a woman has also been arrested on the same suspicion related to the incident. She too has been released on police bail pending further investigations.
On the day of the attack, the victim managed to contact police and reached safety inside her vehicle while awaiting assistance. Officers and a police dog handler attended the scene, securing the dogs behind gates. The owner was contacted, and both dogs were seized.
The injured woman was taken by paramedics to Southmead Hospital in Bristol due to the seriousness of her injuries.
Police have said the area is popular with dog walkers and have urged anyone who witnessed the attack, or who may have information about previous incidents involving these dogs, to come forward.
Gloucestershire Police emphasised that under Section 3 of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, it is an offence to have a dog dangerously out of control in any place, including private property.
