Willow Tree Centre Awarded £1,000 to Support Women Facing Pregnancy Crises

The Willow Tree Centre, a Bristol-based charity dedicated to supporting women through pregnancy crises, has been awarded £1,000 from the Movement for Good Awards, a nationwide giving program run by the Benefact Group.

The charity offers free, confidential counselling and emotional support to women dealing with unintended pregnancies, abortion aftercare, and the loss of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, ectopic pregnancy, or neonatal death. The funding will help the Willow Tree Centre continue providing vital services at no cost to clients.

A spokesperson for the centre emphasized the importance of the donation, saying it enables ongoing specialised care during difficult periods such as returning to work after loss, anniversaries, and other significant events, particularly within the first year following bereavement. “Our clients have reported significant improvements in mental health, reduced anxiety and depression, and enhanced self-esteem thanks to our support,” they added.
