Wetherspoons Chairman Tim Martin’s Top Menu Picks

Wetherspoon’s chairman Tim Martin recently revealed his personal favorites from the pub chain’s menu. During his tour of branches in the West Midlands, he divulged his drink of choice - Abbot Ale, and exercised moderation by opting for small samples of ales and a cup of tea.

In terms of dining, the 69-year-old shared his go-to meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. His favorites include the Small Traditional Breakfast, Southern-fried chicken wrap, and Boneless Basket with an extra portion of garden peas. Despite initial renown for its drinks, Wetherspoon’s food sales reached an astonishing £770 million last year.

In addition to discussing his favorite dishes, Tim also expressed concerns regarding insufficient government protection for the pub industry, highlighting the competition from supermarkets' budget alcohol promotions and the disconnect between policymakers and the pub scene.
