Warwickshire firm opens free CPD digital marketing workshops for SMEs

A Warwickshire digital marketing agency has launched a series of free, CPD-approved workshops aimed at helping small businesses, charities and sole traders make clearer decisions about where their marketing effort and spend should go.

AlphaQuad, based in Bidford-on-Avon, says too many organisations still feel unsure which digital channels actually deliver results — and which are a distraction. The in-person sessions are open to businesses and individuals, and the agency is pitching them as practical training rather than a sales pitch. While the workshops are rooted in Warwickshire, the offer is likely to interest Gloucestershire readers and nearby firms that face the same digital knowledge gap across the West Midlands border.

The agency’s directors argue that the pace of change in digital marketing leaves many SMEs guessing. Government research cited by Skills England projects that digital and technology occupations will grow by around 239,000 jobs — roughly 27% — between 2025 and 2035. Against that backdrop, AlphaQuad says structured learning can help owners and managers judge what is worth investing in, without drowning in jargon.

Sara Cresswell, Director at AlphaQuad, said: “We meet so many organisations who feel unsure about where to start with digital marketing or how to judge what’s worth investing in. These workshops are designed to remove that uncertainty. Our goal is to give people clear, practical knowledge they can apply straight away — without jargon, confusion or pressure to buy anything.”

The sessions draw on more than 25 years of senior digital marketing experience across the AlphaQuad team. CPD accreditation has been secured so attendees can treat the workshops as structured professional development rather than informal tips. Tim Purslow, also a Director, said the accreditation was deliberate: “Digital marketing moves quickly, and staying ahead of the latest developments is essential. We’ve invested a huge amount of time into creating training that reflects current best practice, and securing CPD approval was important to us. It means attendees know they’re receiving structured, high-quality learning rather than informal advice.”

Early feedback from attendees has focused on clarity and pace. Duncan Ravenscroft, owner of Ravenscroft Environmental Services, praised the explanations, practical examples and learning-first approach — noting that the sessions stayed centred on understanding rather than selling.

AlphaQuad’s geographic focus in the PR material covers Warwickshire, Worcestershire and the wider West Midlands. Gloucestershire businesses that trade across those county lines — or simply want CPD-backed digital skills without a hard sell — may find the workshops relevant. Places are limited to in-person attendance; details and signup are available via AlphaQuad’s digital marketing training page.

For SMEs, charities and sole traders still weighing up whether social, search, email or content should take priority, the workshops are framed as a way to replace guesswork with a clearer picture of what works — and what does not.
