Cheltenham Town Women have strengthened their squad by signing Wales Under-19 international Charlotte Salisbury-Williams from Blackburn Rovers.
Charlotte began her football journey at the age of nine with her local team, Brickfield Rangers. She then moved to The New Saints, where she showcased her exceptional talent by becoming the top goalscorer for four consecutive seasons, netting an impressive 148 goals in 102 appearances.
Following this success, Salisbury-Williams spent three seasons at Wolverhampton Wanderers, making her first-team debut at just 16 years old before returning to the Welsh league. Last season, she joined Blackburn Rovers and gained additional experience during a loan spell with Halifax Town in the Northern Premier Division.

Expressing enthusiasm about her move to Cheltenham, Salisbury-Williams said, “Since hearing of the interest in me, I’ve been very excited as I’ve heard nothing but positive things about the club. Their success last season is exactly what I want to be part of. With the quality in the squad and the new signings coming in, I’m confident we can build on that success and push ourselves even further.”
Looking ahead to the season, she added, “My aim is to play as much as possible, contribute to goals, and be the best player I can be. I believe Cheltenham is the perfect place to reach my potential. Many describe my playing style as aggressive, but it’s always in a passionate and positive way.”
Cheltenham Town Women, managed by Tom Davies, are currently preparing for their upcoming season with a series of pre-season matches, starting with Sporting Khalsa on Sunday, July 12, followed by fixtures against Bridgwater United, Loughborough Lightning, and Swansea City.
