Wagamama has confirmed it will open its first UK restaurant of the year on Wednesday, July 16, at the soon-to-launch Cotswolds Designer Outlet just off the M5 near Tewkesbury. This announcement provides the clearest indication yet that the shopping centre will open to the public in just over four weeks.
The outlet, located off the A46 in the Cotswolds, is attracting top brands like Calvin Klein, Boss, and Marks & Spencer, all actively preparing for the mid-summer opening by recruiting staff and fitting out their stores.
The new Wagamama will offer 150 indoor covers and 56 outdoor seats, serving popular dishes such as chicken katsu, ramen, and items from the fresh summer menu focused on personalised, feel-good dining. Open daily, the restaurant is set to create 50 new jobs, expanding Wagamama’s UK presence to 166 locations.

Emily Wharton, Regional Marketing Manager for the Cotswolds, shared, “We’re thrilled to open our new restaurant in the beautiful Cotswolds this summer. Our dedicated team is eager to welcome locals and visitors with our latest menu and signature Wagamama experience.”
The summer menu embraces Wagamama’s ‘food is life’ philosophy, highlighting food’s emotional and cultural significance. Featured dishes include vibrant pho noodle soups with clear yuzu broth and nutritious konjac noodles, alongside fresh salads like sweet chilli caramelised chicken or tofu and a pad thai-inspired option. Guests can also customise build-your-own donburi bowls with a choice of proteins, vegetables, toppings, and a new cauliflower ‘rice’ base.
The Cotswolds Designer Outlet is poised to become a premier shopping destination combining luxury and popular brands. Alongside Wagamama, 200 Degrees coffee will be among the first to open, enhancing the centre’s appeal for shoppers and coffee enthusiasts alike.
Construction at the outlet, located on Platinum Drive near Dobbies Garden Centre, is nearing completion. The centre’s launch will occur in two phases and is part of a broader development including 1,500 new homes, promising vibrant growth in the area.
