An 18-year-old Cheltenham resident, Tillie Hornby, has been banned from the town centre for a year following numerous incidents of anti-social behaviour (ASB), the Gloucestershire Police have confirmed. The injunction, issued on January 21 at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court, aims to curb Hornby’s disruptive and violent activities.
Authorities report that Hornby, from the Oakley area, was involved in a variety of offences including assault, racially aggravated public order offences, harassment, and the carrying of a bladed item. Despite several warnings and substantial efforts by police and partner agencies to engage with Hornby, her behaviour did not improve, prompting the court-imposed ASB injunction (ASBI).
The injunction remains effective until January 21, 2027, at 4 pm. Under its terms, Hornby is prohibited from entering Cheltenham town centre. Police have warned that any breach of these conditions will result in her immediate arrest.

Police Constable Will Hayes from the Cheltenham Neighbourhood Policing team said, “Despite numerous warnings and efforts to engage her, Hornby has persisted in causing considerable distress to the public through her anti-social behaviour. This injunction sends a clear message that such conduct will not be tolerated.”
The move underscores Gloucestershire Police’s commitment to maintaining public safety and addressing anti-social behaviour swiftly and decisively.
