Six men affiliated with the Rock Machine Motorcycle Club have been sentenced to prison following a brutal daytime attack on the president of a rival biker group in Gloucestershire. The violent ambush occurred outside a busy town centre pub in the Forest of Dean, catching the public’s attention and police response.
The offenders—Lee Rogers, Billy Timmins, Robert Greenacre, Kyle Matthews, Darren Rimmer, and Ashley Lauterdale—targeted the victim in a calculated assault on April 5, 2025. Police report that multiple men exited several vehicles before attacking the victim with metal poles and then fled in a convoy.
The victim, a man in his 60s, sustained serious injuries, including a brain bleed and fractured jaw, requiring hospital treatment. His partner was also assaulted but suffered less severe injuries. Gloucestershire Police quickly launched an investigation, utilizing CCTV footage to identify 11 suspects, six of whom were recently sentenced at Bristol Crown Court.

Rogers, Timmins, and Greenacre entered guilty pleas to charges of wounding with intent and violent disorder early in the trial. The others—Matthews, Rimmer, and Lauterdale—were convicted by jury verdicts on similar charges, with Lauterdale also found guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Acting Detective Sergeant Robert Humphreys expressed satisfaction with the outcome, emphasizing the police commitment to combating violence: “This court outcome shows that violence won’t be tolerated here in Gloucestershire and that police will do all they can to bring offenders to justice.”
Additionally, four other men connected to the incident face upcoming sentencing for violent disorder, while one suspect was recently acquitted of related charges.
