A TikTok food critic was subjected to verbal abuse from a drunken customer while reviewing nearly the entire breakfast menu at a Wetherspoon pub in Gloucester. Becca Stock, known online as @beccaeatseverything, filmed herself sampling 20 plates of food at The Regal pub on May 19, aiming to provide an honest review of each dish for her channel.
During her third meal, a slurring, elderly man interrupted her recording, labeling her “a disgusting piglet” and calling her behavior “absolutely disgusting.” When Becca calmly asked why he felt that way, the man responded with insults before she stood her ground, describing him as “a disgusting human being” and the worst individual she’s encountered.
Wetherspoon staff intervened, with management asking the man to finish his drink and leave, which he did shortly after. Becca suspects the man’s anger stemmed either from shock at the volume of food or concern over potential wastage. However, she explained she had made efforts to minimize waste by packing leftovers to share with animals and eat later.

Despite being shaken, the 28-year-old former chef continued her review, though the incident left her visibly distressed. Her video has since gone viral, attracting over three million views. While many praised her composed response, some viewers criticized influencer culture, a point Becca firmly addressed, emphasizing the hard work behind content creation.
Becca recounted the unsettling encounter: “I wasn’t hurt, but my adrenaline was racing. It was my worst nightmare. I thought he was just passing by, but he stopped, slurred his way through insults, and refused to explain his outburst.” The man, described as around 5ft 5in, with a beer belly and a cane, appeared drunk and miserable.
She also clarified that the couple chose a quiet corner with about eight plates at the time and ordered a variety of dishes including traditional and vegetarian breakfasts. Despite the negativity, the pub staff were supportive, quickly handling the situation.
The incident sparked a wide range of reactions online, from support for Becca’s poise to debates over public filming and influencer backlash. Becca responded to critics by asserting that content creators work hard to provide free entertainment and deserve respect.
Wetherspoons has declined to comment on the incident.
