A road rage incident in Gloucester saw a van driver physically assault another motorist, leaving the victim unconscious. The confrontation unfolded on the evening of Saturday, March 28, at around 8:15 pm.
According to police reports, a white van undertook a silver Kia SUV near the Barnett Way Roundabout. The two vehicles then approached the traffic lights on Corinium Avenue, where both drivers exited their vehicles and an argument ensued. The situation escalated when the van driver punched the Kia driver, knocking him out.
The victim, a man in his 50s, was rushed to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with a broken nose and a concussion. He has since been discharged.

Following the assault, the van driver fled the scene. Police later arrested an 18-year-old man from Tewkesbury on suspicion of assault. He has been released under investigation as inquiries continue.
Gloucestershire Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to come forward, quoting reference 411 of 28 March.
