Van Driver Hospitalized Following Road Rage Incident in Stroud

A van driver was hospitalized after a violent road rage incident in Stroud on the evening of Sunday, March 28. Gloucestershire Police are seeking witnesses after an altercation escalated while the van was being unloaded in a residential lane off Marling Close in Amberley.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:20 pm when the driver of a van was confronted by a car driver who complained about the street being blocked. The car driver shouted and used profanity, then exited his vehicle and attempted to deflate the van’s tyres. The confrontation quickly turned physical, resulting in injuries to the van driver that required hospital treatment.

The suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored car resembling an Audi A3. He is described as a tall, large-built white man in his early 50s with mousy brown, thinning hair. At the time, he was wearing a red or burgundy jumper, blue jeans, and brown or tan boots.

Police urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to contact them. Information can be submitted online referencing incident 387 of March 28.
