Late Sunday night, a house fire near Lydbrook in the Forest of Dean led to a swift rescue operation by Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service. The fire was reported around 10:30 pm at a residential property on Edwards Close, Joys Green.
Two fire crews, from Coleford and Cinderford, arrived promptly on the scene. Using breathing apparatus and a hose reel, firefighters efficiently brought the blaze under control. Thanks to their quick response, two adults and a dog were safely evacuated from the home.
Firefighters wrapped up their efforts and left the site by 11:34 pm. Meanwhile, Gloucestershire Police were also present as the authorities continue to investigate the cause of the fire. No further information has been released at this time.
