A delivery driver was severely attacked by two large dogs while attempting to deliver a parcel in the Forest of Dean. The incident occurred shortly before 3pm on Saturday, 29 August, at a property in Malswick, near Newent.
The woman, aged in her 30s, suffered significant injuries to her arm and bite wounds across her body. Demonstrating presence of mind, she managed to retreat to her vehicle to await emergency services.
Paramedics transported the victim to Southmead Hospital in Bristol, where she continues to receive surgery and treatment for her injuries.

Upon arrival at the scene, police officers along with a dog handler secured the two Cane Corso dogs behind the property gates. The dogs’ owner was contacted, and both animals were seized by the authorities.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of having dogs dangerously out of control but has since been released on bail as the investigation remains ongoing.
Given the area’s popularity among local dog walkers, Gloucestershire Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the attack or have any information regarding prior incidents involving these dogs to come forward.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Police stated: “Under Section 3 of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, it is an offence to have a dog dangerously out of control in any place, including private property. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the police online, quoting occurrence 53260074742.”
