Two Adults and a Dog Rescued from House Fire in Forest of Dean

Late on Sunday night, May 3, a house fire broke out at a residential property near Lydbrook in the Forest of Dean. Thanks to the swift response of two fire crews from Coleford and Cinderford, two adults and a dog were safely rescued from the blaze.

The incident was reported shortly after 10:30 pm by a concerned member of the public. Firefighters arrived promptly, employing breathing apparatus and a hose reel to bring the fire under control. The blaze was fully extinguished within about an hour, with crews leaving the scene around 11:34 pm.

A spokesperson from Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the rescue and the ongoing investigation into the fire’s cause. Gloucestershire Police were also present at the site, assisting as authorities work to determine the circumstances behind the incident.
