The Cotswold School community is grieving the sudden loss of Harrison Aylott, a Year 11 pupil who passed away on Tuesday, June 8. Harrison moved to the school in January and quickly became known for his warmth and positivity, leaving a lasting impact on both staff and students.
In a heartfelt statement, the school described Harrison as a bright presence who “brightened our school” and was “a genuine pleasure to teach.” He was remembered fondly for making friends easily and embracing every opportunity in his final year of study.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Harrison’s family and friends, as well as the entire school community, including Chipping Campden School, where Harrison studied prior to joining us,” the school said. They emphasized the importance of ongoing support for everyone affected by this tragic event.

The school remains committed to providing care and support to students and staff during this difficult time. Parents are encouraged to engage with their children about how they are feeling and to seek support from the school or relevant professionals if needed.
For those needing urgent mental health assistance, services like NHS 111 and mental health support organizations are recommended.
