A burst water pipe in Gloucester is causing significant traffic delays on May 15. The pipe ruptured early this morning near the Westgate Bridge area, prompting the installation of two-way traffic lights to manage the flow of vehicles safely while repairs are underway.
Severn Trent Water crews are on site actively working to repair the damage. A spokesperson from Severn Trent stated, “We have a team on site making a repair which we’re aiming to complete today. To keep everyone safe while we complete this repair, we are operating under two-way traffic lights. We apologise for any inconvenience and are committed to restoring everything back to normal as quickly and safely as possible.”
Motorists are advised to expect delays in the area until the repair is completed and to plan their journeys accordingly.
