A life-changing jackpot of £4.2 million is up for grabs in tonight’s National Lottery draw.
The National Lottery recently introduced a new format, with the organisers explaining: “New Lotto is here and it’s twice as exciting. Each Wednesday and Saturday Lotto draw now features two rounds."
This means players have two chances to win a prize for every line of numbers they play, at the same price. The changes are expected to more than double the number of millionaires created.

To win the jackpot, a player must match all six numbers in either round; however, the prize pool will be shared across both rounds. While this increases the chances of winning, it may also mean sharing the jackpot with others.
According to the National Lottery, this change is designed to create more winners and more millionaires than before.

Winning Lotto Numbers:
Round 1: 28, 6, 54, 33, 43, 2 Bonus Ball: 55
Round 2: 24, 45, 2, 59, 41, 43 Bonus Ball: 54
Winning Thunderball Numbers: 18, 20, 7, 19, 12 Thunderball: 11
Tickets can be purchased throughout the week, with sales closing at 7.30pm on draw days – Wednesday and Saturday.
In addition to these draws, players can try their luck with EuroMillions every Tuesday and Friday, and Set for Life on Mondays and Thursdays.
The Thunderball draw occurs four times a week – Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday – offering a top prize of £500,000.
Proceeds from lottery ticket sales also contribute millions of pounds to various good causes across the country.
