Saracens have officially announced the signing of Welsh international scrum-half Tomos Williams from Gloucester Rugby, effective from the start of the next season.
The 30-year-old Williams, who was part of Andy Farrell’s British and Irish Lions squad for the Australia tour last summer, unfortunately missed much of the series due to a hamstring injury sustained in a warm-up match against Western Force.
Before his move to Gloucester at the beginning of the 2024-25 campaign, Williams spent ten successful years with Cardiff Rugby. During his inaugural Premiership season with Gloucester, he earned the accolade of Premiership Rugby Player of the Season, highlighting his exceptional performance.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Williams said on Saracens’ official website, “I’m really excited to be joining Saracens, a club I have always admired. There are great coaches and players here, and I look forward to contributing to the team from the summer onward.”
Saracens’ head coach Mark McCall shared his excitement about the signing: “Tomos is a player we have admired for a long time. He will be an outstanding addition to our squad. A world-class operator, we can’t wait to see him in a Saracens shirt next season.”
