Frampton United celebrated their second trophy of the season by edging Henbury & Rockleaze 2-1 in the Les James League Cup final at Almondsbury on Saturday afternoon.
Under the management of Lee Driver-Dickerson, Frampton had already claimed the GFA Challenge Trophy by defeating Bromley Heath United 3-1 on penalties following a 1-1 draw at Oaklands Park on April 29.
The final got underway with Frampton taking the lead five minutes before halftime when Lewis Vye unleashed a stunning shot from outside the box that curved over Henbury goalkeeper Harry Trett.

Early chances came from both sides: Trett made a solid save against Finley Thompson’s long-range strike in the 12th minute, while Dan Webb’s 21st-minute effort for Henbury narrowly missed the target.
Henbury, who concluded the season six places below Frampton in the Gloucestershire County League standings, fought back and leveled in the 50th minute. Sam Bailey rose highest to head home a precise cross from Nick Jones.
However, Frampton responded swiftly. Just three minutes later, Tom Mangan showcased his composure and technical skill by finishing expertly from a well-delivered ball on the left flank, restoring Frampton’s advantage.
Despite the heat and fatigue setting in during the second half, both teams struggled to create clear-cut chances. Frampton’s defense held firm, and neither goalkeeper faced serious threats, allowing the champions to see out the match and lift the Les James League Cup.
This victory completes a memorable trophy double for Frampton United this season, cementing their strong status in the Gloucestershire County League.
