Tom Bradbury is poised to sign for Harrogate Town after deciding not to accept a new contract offer from Cheltenham Town, according to Gloucestershire Live. The 27-year-old defender attracted interest from several clubs but has chosen to move to North Yorkshire.
Bradbury joined Cheltenham Town in the summer of 2022, transferring from Halifax Town. His football journey includes time in the youth academies of Oxford United, Reading, and MK Dons, as well as spells at Yeovil Town and Dundee, along with a loan at York City.
During his tenure at Cheltenham, Bradbury made 88 appearances and scored two goals. One memorable moment was his first goal—a striking right-footed volley—in a 3-0 League One victory over Peterborough United under manager Wade Elliott. Reflecting on that goal, Bradbury said, “Scoring that volley was amazing and those are the days that make it all worth it and why your dad drives you halfway across the country at 10 years old.”

He also netted a stoppage-time winner against Harrogate Town in a League Two match last season. Initially placed on the transfer list early in the season, Bradbury later secured his position as a key starter in manager Michael Flynn’s defense. He notably earned emotional support from fans, who sang his name during a Harrogate game, a moment he described as moving.
Bradbury occasionally captained the team in the latter half of the season, showing leadership and versatility by playing in an unfamiliar left-back role and contributing assists in matches against MK Dons, Gillingham, and Salford City.
While Cheltenham sought to retain him, Bradbury has opted for a new challenge with Harrogate. Other team updates include midfielder Liam Kinsella signing a one-year contract with an option for a second, goalkeeping coach Joe Day and academy player Freddy Willcox expected to stay, and left-back Ryan Haynes likely moving to National League newcomers Brackley Town.
