A three-vehicle collision on Bristol Road in Cirencester caused significant delays during the evening rush hour. The incident occurred around 4:38 pm when Gloucestershire Police were called to reports of an obstruction on the busy dual carriageway.
Initially, a passer-by reported a “four car pile-up” on social media between Tesco and the fire station, but police later confirmed the crash involved three vehicles. One lane of the road was blocked, leading to traffic congestion as emergency services attended the scene.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported. A Gloucestershire Police spokesperson stated, “Three vehicles involved and one lane was blocked following a report of an obstruction at 16:38. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.”

As of 5:30 pm, officers remained on site while waiting for vehicle recovery. Officials expected the road to reopen shortly, bringing relief to commuters affected by the disruption on this key route.
