An investigation is underway following a violent incident at a pub in Tewkesbury that resulted in injuries to three members of the venue’s staff. The disturbance occurred on High Street at approximately 10pm on Saturday, 11 July.
According to Gloucestershire Police, the altercation began when a man was refused entry as the pub had reached its maximum capacity. The man subsequently engaged in a verbal disagreement with the door staff. A second individual, known to the first, became involved in the confrontation.
Police reports state that the second man struck a door staff member, sparking a physical fight that caused facial injuries to three staff members.

Investigating officers have released CCTV images of two men they wish to identify in relation to the incident, believing these individuals may be able to assist with the ongoing enquiry.
A Gloucestershire Police spokesperson said:
“Officers investigating the assault of door staff at a pub in Tewkesbury have released CCTV images of two men they would like to identify in connection with the incident. It was reported that a man had tried to enter the pub but was stopped by door staff and told to wait outside as the venue was at capacity. The man got into a verbal argument with the door staff and a second man, who was known to him, also got involved. The second man then punched a member of door staff in the face which caused a fight to break out and saw three members of staff sustain facial injuries. This took place on High Street in Tewkesbury at around 10pm on Saturday 11 July. Investigating officers have conducted a number of enquiries to identify the men and are now appealing for information from the public.”
