An altercation at a pub in Tewkesbury has resulted in three staff members sustaining facial injuries. The incident occurred at approximately 10pm on Saturday, 11 July, on High Street.
According to Gloucestershire Police, the confrontation began when a man was refused entry into the pub as it had reached capacity. This refusal led to a verbal dispute between the man and the door staff. A second man, known to the first, then became involved in the situation.
The police report states that the second man punched a member of the door staff in the face, which escalated into a physical fight. As a result, three staff members were injured.

In connection with the incident, officers have released CCTV images of two men they wish to identify, believing they may have information relevant to the inquiry.
A police spokesperson commented:
“Officers investigating the assault of door staff at a pub in Tewkesbury have released CCTV images of two men they would like to identify in connection with the incident. It was reported that a man had tried to enter the pub but was stopped by door staff and told to wait outside as the venue was at capacity. The man got into a verbal argument with the door staff and a second man, who was known to him, also got involved. The second man then punched a member of door staff in the face which caused a fight to break out and saw three members of staff sustain facial injuries. This took place on High Street in Tewkesbury at around 10pm on Saturday 11 July. Investigating officers have conducted a number of enquiries to identify the men and are now appealing for information from the public.”
