Three additional members of a biker gang have been sentenced for their involvement in a violent and targeted assault on the president of a rival gang in the Forest of Dean last year.
The incident occurred in the Market Place in Coleford on Saturday, 5 April 2025, when members of the Rock Machine Motorcycle Club launched an attack that left a man in his 60s seriously injured.
At Bristol Crown Court yesterday, three men received sentences for violent disorder. Joshua Bell, 32, from Gloucester, was sentenced to one year and five months in prison. Mark Gibson, 56, from Knutsford, received a two-year sentence suspended for two years. Paul Price, 57, from Newport, was handed a one year and two months suspended sentence for two years. Another individual, Luke Cole, 30, also from Gloucester, is scheduled to be sentenced on 2 September for his role in the attack.

Gloucestershire Police confirmed that Bell, Price, and Cole had pleaded guilty to violent disorder at an earlier hearing, while Gibson was found guilty following a trial.
Details revealed during the court proceedings indicate that on the afternoon of 5 April 2025, police responded to reports of a group attacking a man outside a pub in Coleford. Multiple men exited vehicles and assaulted the victim with metal poles before leaving the scene in a convoy.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries including a brain bleed and a fractured jaw. His partner was also attacked and sustained injuries.
The Constabulary’s Criminal Investigation Department conducted an extensive investigation, during which CCTV footage helped identify 11 men involved in the attack. Of these, ten either admitted or were found guilty of offences, while one defendant was acquitted.
Acting Detective Sergeant Robert Humphreys said,
“This was a targeted and violent attack carried out in the street in broad daylight, witnessed by members of the public in shock. Those involved showed blatant disregard for the consequences, seeking to assert dominance over a rival motorcycle gang. Violence of this nature will not be tolerated in Gloucestershire. I am pleased that after a thorough investigation, several men have been sentenced for their roles in what happened that day.”
Previously, six men – Lee Rogers, Billy Timmins, Robert Greenacre, Kyle Matthews, Darren Rimmer, and Ashley Lauterdale – were sentenced to a combined total of 27 years and two months imprisonment following a hearing at Bristol Crown Court on 19 June.
Rogers, Timmins, and Greenacre had pleaded guilty to section 18 wounding with intent and violent disorder on the first day of a trial in February. The jury found Matthews, Rimmer, and Lauterdale guilty of the same charges, with Lauterdale also convicted of section 47 assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
