Three individuals have denied charges linked to a fatal shooting that occurred at a traveller site in Wiltshire. Shane Porter, aged 35, his father Eddie Porter, 74, and Tammy Brown, 42, appeared via video link at Bristol Crown Court on Friday.
They face allegations connected to the murder of 36-year-old Jimmy Ward, who died at Calcutt, near Cricklade, on August 2. During the hearing, Shane Porter denied charges of murder and possessing a shotgun without a certificate. Eddie Porter and Tammy Brown each denied charges of assisting an offender and possessing a shotgun without a certificate.
Judge William Hart adjourned the case until February 1 for trial, stating the hearing would likely last up to three weeks and be overseen by Judge Peter Blair, the Recorder of Bristol. He confirmed that those held in custody would remain so, while Ms Brown’s bail conditions remain unchanged. A further case management hearing is scheduled for January 22.

Wiltshire Police were alerted to the traveller site by South Western Ambulance Service at approximately 8.15am on August 2. Emergency responders attended the scene, where Mr Ward was pronounced dead.
It is alleged that Shane Porter shot Mr Ward. The prosecution contends that following the incident, Eddie Porter and Brown travelled from Luton to Swindon and took possession of the shotgun intending to hinder Shane Porter’s arrest. The defendants are due to appear again at Bristol Crown Court on January 22.
