Three individuals have been arrested following a tragic road accident near the popular Cotswolds tourist destination of Bourton-on-the-Water. The crash occurred on the A436 at approximately 6:35 pm on Thursday, May 15, involving a black Subaru Forester and a red Ford Fiesta.
A woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene, while four other people sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital, where they remain under medical care, according to Gloucestershire Police.
The arrested suspects include a 20-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, both from Lancashire, and a 17-year-old boy from Cornwall. All are currently in police custody on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Authorities are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the vehicles involved or other relevant activity in the area leading up to the crash. Specifically, police are interested in hearing from anyone who saw a black Subaru Forester, a white Ford Transit van, and a black Volkswagen T-Cross traveling along the A429 and A436 from Stow-on-the-Wold towards Andoversford before the incident.
Additionally, the occupants of a red Ford Focus traveling along the A436 towards Bourton moments before the collision are urged to come forward.
Anyone with information or dashcam footage related to the incident is encouraged to contact Gloucestershire Police online, quoting incident number 472 of May 15.
