Thirsty Thief Steals Staff Tips and Sips Coke During Gloucester Quays Coffee Shop Break-In

Bake & Brew, a popular coffee shop at Gloucester Quays, is appealing to the public for information and CCTV footage following a break-in on the night of June 10, 2025. The intruder, who covered their face with one of the shop’s aprons, was seen helping themselves to a bottle of Coke and stealing the staff’s tip money.

The burglary occurred shortly before midnight at the Llanthony Road location. According to the coffee shop’s Facebook post, the offender entered at 11:57 pm and left just five minutes later at 12:02 am, taking only a small amount of cash and the tip jar. The thief was described as wearing a light-colored tracksuit and sporty trainers.

In the post, the Bake & Brew team urged locals to check any dashcam, doorbell, or CCTV footage from that evening, especially around the mini roundabout where the apron was discarded in a nearby bush. The suspect was last seen walking away from Gloucester Quays, potentially along the A4301 or Spa Road.

The coffee shop’s owners expressed how deeply the break-in affected their team, noting the violation felt like someone entering their home without permission. They are hopeful that sharing this appeal will help bring the culprit to justice.

Gloucestershire Police have launched an investigation, with forensic teams attending the scene. Anyone with information or footage is encouraged to contact the police quoting incident 77 of June 11 or email Bake & Brew directly at [email protected].
