Thieves Target Gloucestershire Sports Clubs Stealing Trophies, Cash, and Golf Buggy

A string of burglaries has plagued bowls and golf clubs throughout Gloucestershire in recent months, with thieves breaking into clubhouses and making off with trophies, cash, and even a golf buggy. Gloucestershire Police have confirmed multiple incidents where offenders forcibly entered premises, smashed display cabinets, and stole valuable items.

One burglary occurred overnight from Monday, June 30 to Tuesday, July 1, in Cheltenham, where perpetrators smashed a glass door to steal trophies from a display cabinet. Just days earlier, on Saturday, June 28, a sports club in Coleford suffered a break-in during which criminals stole cash from the till and a set of golf buggy keys, subsequently driving away on the buggy before abandoning it.

Another incident took place on Monday, April 14, in Broadway, where intruders forced entry and took trophies from the building.
