From humble beginnings with just 1,000 attendees to drawing crowds of 15,000 over 19 years, 2000Trees has firmly established itself as a staple UK rock and punk festival. But this vibrant event proves it offers far more than just music and moshing.
Nestled at Upcote Farm near Cheltenham, the independent festival faced sweltering heat during its 2026 edition. Yet, festival-goers of all ages, from die-hard fans to first-timers, embraced the full experience. Importantly, 2000Trees has cultivated a warm, family-friendly atmosphere that welcomes children of all ages.
This summer, children ranging from newborns to teens were spotted enjoying the festival’s unique blend of live music, comedy acts, and silent discos. Ten-year-old Isaac, a loyal attendee since the age of two, proudly identifies his festival experiences as part of who he is.

“I’ve been coming to 2000Trees with my mum since I was little. It’s my earliest memory of live music, and I love going,” Isaac shared. “I was really excited about the silent disco. I told all my friends about it at school. I even missed the festival on Friday because I wasn’t feeling well, but came back as soon as I got better.”
In 2026, Isaac’s younger brother joined the festival for the first time at just 14 months old. Isaac looks forward to sharing future 2000Trees experiences with him as he grows up.
The organisers have already confirmed that 2000Trees will return from July 7 to 11, 2027, celebrating its milestone 20th anniversary. This year’s lineup of family-oriented activities underscores why 2000Trees continues to stand out — it’s not just a festival for rock, punk, and acoustic fans but a memorable experience for the whole community.
