The Traitors Star Claudia Winkleman’s Secret Move to £3 Million Cotswolds Manor

Claudia Winkleman, famed host of The Traitors, has reportedly made a discreet move to a stunning £3 million manor house in the Cotswolds. Although she’s long been rooted in her lavish London townhouse, the television presenter and her family have now established a countryside sanctuary to enjoy peaceful weekends and holidays.

Together with her husband, film producer Kris Thykier, and their three children—Jake, 20, Matilda, 17, and Arthur, 12—Claudia is understood to be renting a historic manor nestled in the heart of celebrity-favored Cotswolds. Their notable neighbors include stars such as David Beckham, Guy Ritchie, and Jeremy Clarkson. Interestingly, Kris has even formed friendships with some local luminaries, including director Guy Ritchie.

A close source revealed, “They secured a long-term rental three years ago and love having a countryside bolthole to escape to from London’s hustle, perfect for weekends and holidays.”

While their London home near Marble Arch remains Claudia’s “perfect sanctuary” when filming isn’t underway, the family relishes the quiet and charm of their country retreat. Their Grade II-listed London townhouse boasts illustrious neighbors like former Prime Minister Tony Blair and his wife Cherie, reflecting the area’s exclusivity.

Though Claudia keeps her family life mostly private, she occasionally offers fans a sneak peek inside her elegant London home on social media. Known for her love of Scandinavian-inspired interiors, her home features neutral tones that create a tranquil atmosphere. A striking bookcase stretches from floor to ceiling in her living room, packed with an impressive collection of books, while sage green walls enhance the calming aesthetic.

In 2017, Claudia shared a charming moment relaxing in her luxurious bathroom with makeup artist Sali Hughes. The room is adorned with pristine white marble on the floors and walls, complemented by a standalone bathtub fitted with sophisticated silver fixtures.

Her kitchen follows the same stylish theme, featuring massive backlit marble slabs and subtle grey hues. Fans got a glimpse of her state-of-the-art fridge on Instagram—a modern touch for grabbing snacks after a demanding day of filming.

Adding to the home’s inviting charm is a fashionable jute carpet running up the whitewashed staircase that leads to a spacious balcony. Reflecting on her London abode in an Evening Standard interview, Claudia quipped, “I can leave my house at 4am and buy a kebab, rent a movie and get some shampoo. I love my shower, my bread bin and our tortoise, Yoshi.”

Claudia is set to return to BBC One screens at 8 pm with the new season of The Traitors. Since the show’s launch in 2022, she has become synonymous with its success.

She admits she didn’t anticipate the show’s popularity. Speaking to Grazia magazine, Claudia said, “We didn’t foresee this. We went to Scotland with the amazing people who make it and a pair of red fingerless gloves and gave it our best shot. I think people like it because the psychology is extraordinary—just watching people work out whether they’re being lied to. The dynamics feel addictive. I’m completely obsessed.”
