Richard Talman, beloved expert from the BBC’s The Repair Shop, has announced a pause in filming with a moving tribute to his colleagues and the hardworking team behind the scenes.
Posting on Instagram, Richard shared a warm video highlighting the cast and crew who bring the beloved series to life. Alongside the footage, he wrote, “Today marks the end of my filming for 2025! As I pack my barn bench away for winter, I want to extend heartfelt thanks to the incredible crew and producers at Ricochet Productions who make the show possible.”
He included several pictures celebrating some of the team members, giving fans a rare glimpse behind the camera.

Supportive fans flooded the comments with gratitude and well-wishes. One viewer wrote, “Thank you for this show. It saved my life this last year. It keeps me company when I can’t sleep and reminds me that decent humans still exist. Please thank the crew as well.”
Others expressed their admiration and eagerness to see more from the team, with comments like, “Awesome effort, guys, thank you,” and “It would be great to see these guys in front of the camera in one season.” Another fan expressed hope for his return, saying, “Back in 2026, I hope!”
Richard isn’t the only expert wrapping up for the year. Fellow team member Brenton West also shared an update, confirming he had finished filming for 2025. Accompanying photos, Brenton wrote, “My time filming at The Repair Shop barn has come to an end for 2025, just as the mud and cold weather arrive. I’m looking forward to a winter break. Huge thanks to the hardworking people behind the scenes who make us look amazing on TV.”
He continued, “There are many others, I just haven’t got pictures of them, but they know who they are. Thanks all, hope to see you soon.”
