Julyan Wallis, the guitar specialist from the beloved BBC series The Repair Shop, has announced he will be taking a break during the Christmas and New Year period. Sharing the news via his social media channels, Wallis informed fans that his services will be unavailable from December 13th, with a return planned for early January.

In his post, he wrote: “I will be closed over the festive season from December 13th and back on January 2nd/5th onwards. Wallis isn’t the only craftsman on The Repair Shop taking time off. Jewellery specialist Richard Talman recently concluded his 2025 filming schedule, sharing a heartfelt video message thanking the show’s crew. Richard remarked, “Today marks the end of my filming for 2025! And as I pack my barn bench up for the winter, I’d like to thank the wonderful crew and producers of Ricochet Productions who make the show possible.”

Similarly, Brenton West also wrapped up his filming commitments for the year. He expressed gratitude to the behind-the-scenes team, saying, “My time filming at The Repair Shop barn has come to an end for 2025, just as the mud and cold weather arrive. I’m looking forward to a winter break.” He gave a special shout-out to the hardworking crew who contribute to the show’s success.

Fans can catch episodes of The Repair Shop on BBC iPlayer while the craftspeople enjoy their well-earned festive rest.
